This is often sound advice, but not for W. Bro. Paul James of Hainault Lodge No 4367 who visited us today with Sage and and Florence to talk about the invaluable work of the Guide Dogs Association.
Not only were we introduced to Florence and Sage (or, Florence and Sage introduced themselves) but we also learnt more about what it takes be a ‘puppy walker’ on behalf of the Guide Dogs association.
Paul went into great detail about the commitment and basic training that these wonderful pups go through – as well as the loving homes that are needed to ready the pups for the next stage of their training as working dogs.
Dogs at this early stage of their training wear blue jackets, so if you see them in the streets, and puppy walkers encourage you to greet the walker and the puppy as this all helps in their training!
